EULiST GLOBAL CONFERENCE 2025 Call for Abstracts – PhD Students and Young Postdocs
We invite PhD candidates and early-career postdoctoral researchers (within two years of receiving their PhD) to submit an abstract to be considered for presentation at the upcoming online pre-conference on November 19th, held in the framework of the EULiST Global Conference (November 20th – 21st, 2025). Selected participants will have the opportunity to present their ideas in one of the four parallel thematic tracks.
This pre-conference, rooted in the themes identified through the EULiST Fridays for Research, offers a unique opportunity to showcase your work, exchange ideas with peers, and connect with leading experts while contributing to the shared research directions developed within EULiST.
Presentation Format
- Each selected presenter will prepare 2 PowerPoint slides (template will be provided to selected speakers)
- Presentation time: 3 minutes, followed by 1 minute changeover
- Presentations will be coordinated by a session chair in each track.

Conference Tracks
- Track 1 – Renewable Energy Systems: Hydrogen, Renewable Energy Sources, Storage Solutions, Societal Impacts
Topics include: hydrogen economy, storage technologies (including underground storage), fuel cells, electrolyzers, hydrogen carriers, renewable energy integration, electricity markets, life-cycle assessment (LCA), and social dimensions of the hydrogen transition. - Track 2 – Innovations in Advanced Materials and Smart Manufacturing for Sustainable Industry 4.0
Topics include: advanced and additive manufacturing, hybrid and micro machining, surface modification processes, green and smart manufacturing, advanced materials, AI-driven product realization, predictive maintenance, supply chain optimization, and Industry 4.0 applications. - Track 3 – Climate Change, Environmental Resilience, and Green Urban Transitions: Technologies and Strategies for a Sustainable Future
Topics include: climate adaptation and mitigation, disaster risk reduction, biodiversity and ecosystem resilience, sustainable urbanization, green cities, deforestation, water management, and the socio-economic impacts of climate change, including health and societal resilience. - Track 4 – Bioengineering, Biotechnology, and Smart Systems for Health, Mobility, and Sustainable Communities
Topics include: biomedical engineering (biomaterials, tissue engineering, neurotechnology, bioinformatics), biocomputing, wearable devices, bioinspired robotics, smart mobility and transportation, e-governance, digital citizenship, smart energy systems, cybersecurity in healthcare, and AI in sustainability and public well-being.
