What is a Cotutelle?
A cotutelle is a binational doctorate. The degree is conferred by two institutions from different countries.
A written agreement, setting out the conditions and legal norms for the binational doctorate must be signed by the representatives of both institutions for each cotutelle.

The MSCA SEED program is providing funding for cotutelle. For a PhD in cotutelle, the academic partner will receive the PhD during 12 months for 30k€. The remaining is paid by IMT.
EULiST-Travel-Grant especially for researchers. This Grant supports 1-month-research stays at LUH for researchers (doctoral candidates & PostDocs) coming from the 9 EULiST partner-universities. Lump-sum subsidy of 2000 €. Applications are possible at any time.
“EULiST Connect” (DAAD Funding especially for mobilities within our alliance) offers the possibility for doctoral candidates to do a research or study visit (including participation in summer and winter schools) at a partner university for up to 3 months
