BIP Programme: Deutsch ForFuture@LUH – Learn German, Discover Sustainability in German

The Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) is organizing the BIP “Deutsch ForFuture@LUH: Nachhaltigkeit auf Deutsch – Deutsch lernen und die LUH entdecken”.

Date:

The online component will take place from 26th April 2027 to 02nd July 2027. The on-site phase will take place from 12th July to 16th July 2027 at the Leibniz Language Centre, Leibniz University Hannover. Im Moore 11B, 30177 Hannover, Germany.

Target Audience:

Students of all levels who have a prior knowledge of German up to B1-Level (min. requirement A2)

Areas:

Sustainable cities and communities, sustainable urbanization, sustainable campuses

Objectives and description:

The BIP offers 11 weeks of interactive study including a week of activities on campus in Hanover during which students will develop and expand German language skills (B1 level) in the context of sustainability with a focus on Hannover & Leibniz University; acquire practical competencies in interdisciplinary project work on sustainable university cities and foster intercultural collaboration and networking among students from various disciplines.

Number of ECTS: 6

Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn 6 ECTS credits, awarded by LUH.

Recognition of these credits remains subject to the regulations of the students’ home universities.

Language of instruction: German

Pre-Requirements:

  • At least A2 level in German
  • Application Form
  • Certificate of proficiency in German A2 [Certificates of home institutions, results of online placement tests or Goethe/ÖSD/TELC certificates or similar are accepted]
  • Additional mandatory documents required by the students’ home institutions, if applicable

Application, deadline and nomination procedure:

Interested students should contact their university’s Erasmus office and EULiST local coordinator for more institution-specific information, including possible internal application deadlines. Applications should include the documents above. The selections will be carried out by the students’ home institutions.

After students receive confirmation of acceptance, they register via the EULiST Course Catalog.
