EULiST BIPs: LUT Summer School
We are delighted to announce the upcoming Summer School 2026 organized by LUT University in Lappeenranta, Finland. Experience Finnish nature during summertime while studying and networking with peers from around the world.
LUT University invites bachelor’s and master’s students from partner universities to join the LUT Summer School, an intensive international programme held on the Lappeenranta campus in Finland 3–7 August 2026. Interactive online teaching is in June.
This program offers an excellent opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge of sustainability and gain international experience.
Students can choose from two bachelor‑level courses: Sustainable Food Value Chain Transition and Energy Transitions and Society (3 ECTS credits each). The courses combine interactive lectures, group work, and international teamwork, offering an inspiring learning experience.
Both courses are organised as Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) in cooperation with the partner universities:
Sustainable Food Value Chain Transition course partners:

- Slovak University of technology in Bratislava (STU)
- Universidad Rey Juan Carlos
- Leibniz Universität Hannover
Energy Transitions and Society course partners:
- National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)

- Leibniz Universität Hannover
Students interested in participating must contact their home institution for nomination first before applying. Nomination deadline for partner institutions: 15 May.
What is LUT Summer School?
- Course details: Intensive on-site course with online introduction studies (in June), group work and after-class exam/essay. Courses include online introduction studies.
- Topics: food and energy transition (bachelor’s courses)
- Social program and activities during free time.
