BIP “Work and AI: New Jobs and Careers in the Digital Age” organised by UNIVAQ
The University of L’Aquila, in cooperation with Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, University of Extremadura, and “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, is organising the second edition of the Blended Intensive Program (BIP), called “Work and AI: New Jobs and Careers in the Digital Age”, which will take place with online sessions in June 2026, and in-person activities from July 6 to July 10, 2026, in L’Aquila, Italy.
Type of participants/Target group: 1°, 2°, 3° cycle students, in the areas of Economics and Management, Law, Engineering, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Life Sciences
Objectives and description: The second edition of the programme examines how AI and emerging digital technologies are reshaping work, especially in knowledge-intensive sectors (e.g., healthcare, biotech, pharma, engineering and business), by creating new job profiles and changing how organisations operate. It also highlights AI-driven transformations in business models and business-unit processes, alongside the growing role of AI in research and doctoral work. The training combines a 5-days virtual phase (interactive lectures, workshops and group work), followed by an in-person week with workshops, professional testimonials and a final hackathon. Overall, it aims to build both technical and soft skills (critical thinking, problem solving, interdisciplinary collaboration) and to address ethical and social implications of AI adoption.

Application, deadline and funding possibilities: Interested students should contact their university’s Erasmus office and EULiST local coordinator for more institution-specific information such as different application deadlines due to internal procedures. The selections will be carried out by the students’ home institutions.
