“Project-based and Challenge-based Learning – an Inspiration from Creative Fields” (Radek Toman, Brno University of Technology)
How can educational methods from the fields of art, design, and architecture inspire a more engaging and innovative approach to learning across disciplines? This seminar explores the synergy between project-based and challenge-based learning, emphasizing their potential to foster creativity, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We will examine how creative teaching strategies, often used in artistic and design education, can be adapted to diverse academic fields – enhancing problem-solving skills, promoting hands-on experiences, and bridging the gap between theory and practice. The seminar will also highlight examples, illustrating how these approaches can enrich traditional educational models and prepare students for real-world challenges.
