Are you a university student in a technical field looking for a practical Erasmus+ traineeship? Would you like to gain hands-on experience in a real research and development environment and work on projects connected to industry?
Our Research & Development Center in Brno, Czech Republic, welcomes students from a wide range of technical disciplines, including civil and structural engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, electrical engineering, IT, and other related fields.
Since our R&D activities cover a broad range of topics, the specific focus of the traineeship is not predefined. We aim to find a suitable area of work based on each student’s studies, skills and interests.
About DEK and our R&D Center – DERIC
DEK is a Czech group of companies operating primarily in the construction industry. Its activities include the distribution of construction materials, technical and consulting services, design and engineering, and the development and production of construction-related products and solutions.
The DEK Experimental Research Innovation Center (DERIC) is DEK’s research and development centre located in Brno. We focus on experimental research, material testing, product development and technical methodologies, connecting research with practical applications in the construction industry. We also cooperate closely with universities, companies and other technical partners.
Our facilities include a wide range of technical and laboratory equipment used for testing, measurements and experimental work. Students can therefore become involved in real experiments, preparation of test specimens, measurements, data processing and other R&D activities.
What can you expect?
You will become part of a young and friendly team, where students are already an active part of our everyday work. We are looking for proactive and curious people who are not afraid to learn by doing.
The traineeship is strongly hands-on. A significant part of the work is based around laboratory and technical activities rather than purely theoretical or office-based work. You can expect to work with equipment, prepare samples and test specimens, perform measurements and experiments, analyse data, and support ongoing R&D projects.
Erasmus+ traineeship
We are primarily looking for students interested in traineeships lasting 3 months or longer. The exact duration and specific activities can be agreed individually based on the student’s study programme and our current projects.
