EULiST-URJC Matchmaking Event
The Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) will host a Matchmaking Event on 1 and 2 October 2026, gathering researchers, academics, and institutions from across the EULiST alliance and beyond to foster collaboration, exchange ideas, and build strong international research partnerships.
The primary objective of this event is to bring together researchers, innovators, and institutions to present and discuss project proposals targeting upcoming funding calls with deadlines between January and April 2027. Through early-stage dialogue and networking, the event aims to support the creation and consolidation of competitive consortia.
To ensure effective preparation and high-quality exchanges, participants wishing to present project ideas must submit their expressions of interest by 15 July 2026. Registration for the event will remain open until 10 September 2026, which also applies to speakers and presenters.
Participants will have the opportunity to present project ideas aligned with a set of strategic funding programmes and thematic priorities. These include general topics such as Erasmus+ (CBHE, KA2, KA3), WIDERA, and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) — including Postdoctoral Fellowships, Staff Exchanges, and “Choose Europe for Science” initiatives.
In addition, the event will place a strong emphasis on sustainability-related topics, particularly within the framework of Horizon Europe Cluster 5 (Climate, Energy and Mobility) and Cluster 6 (Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment). Key focus areas include circular economy, water resilience, sustainable agriculture, climate action, clean energy, zero pollution, transport innovation, and soil health, among others.
The matchmaking event will not only strengthen collaboration within the EULiST community but also promote engagement with partners beyond Europe, particularly from the Global South, enhancing the diversity and impact of future project consortia.
