Why you should join:

Join this Masterclass and learn a structured approach to bring your research into market.

You have done the research, and you think it could matter outside the lab. But how do you actually get it there? This hands-on 4-hour workshop gives participants a practical 5-step approach to bringing research into the real world. It is built specifically for a deep-tech and research context, where long timelines, regulated buyers, complex procurement, and early-stage uncertainty often shape the path from prototype to business.

Each of the five steps combines a short input with a hands-on exercise. Participants can apply the exercises to their own project or to a prepared case study. By the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Understand what go-to-market means for research and deep-tech, and how it differs from consumer startups
  • Know how to map their market and competitors without drowning in data
  • Be able to identify their most promising first customers
  • Have a draft value proposition for their own project or a case study
  • Know how to plan a realistic launch and avoid common pitfalls
  • Have a shortlist of traction channels to test next, mapped to the customer journey
  • Know which early-stage metrics are worth their attention
  • Understand why product-market fit alone is not enough, and what else is needed

No business background is required. The workshop is designed for a mixed audience across faculties, with examples drawn from engineering, software, and similar tech contexts. Participants are welcome whether they already have a specific project in mind or are just exploring whether this path is right for them.
