“World Logic Day” Event
On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, on the occasion of the celebration of the World Logic Day, a series of talks on the subject of Logic will take place in Hall 1 of the New Building of the Department of History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (Zografou Campus). Arrival time is 18:45.
The keynote speaker will be Doukas Kapantais, Director of Research at the Research Centre for Greek Philosophy of the Academy of Athens, on the topic: “There is no such thing as the Aristotelian syllogistic'”.
The event is open to anyone interested in Logic and its applications. Following a decision by UNESCO, January 14th has been designated as World Logic Day, marking the date of Kurt Gödel’s death and Alfred Tarski’s birth.
