EVENTS Summer School: Empowering Automated Driving Research | Organised by NTUA in Athens, September 2025
On behalf of EVENTS, a European flagship project on Automated Driving and the I-SENSE Group of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the National Technical University of Athens, we would like to invite you to the EVENTS Summer School, an interactive event designed to foster inclusive participation and widen access to cutting-edge developments in the field of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs).
Date: 18 – 19 September 2025
Location: Athens city center, Greece | Amalia Hotel
Format: Free upon registration here (physical participation only)
Agenda: to be published soon
This initiative particularly encourages the involvement of any interested stakeholder, including but not limited to university students, early-career researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, educators, etc., to engage with leading-edge research, deepen their technical knowledge, and connect with top experts in the field of Connected and Automated Mobility.
Driving presents daily challenges, with unexpected situations requiring safe and efficient decisions— and the same applies to CAVs. The EVENTS project is addressing these critical “events”, where normal vehicle operation is disrupted by factors such as sudden traffic changes, extreme weather conditions, incomplete data, or sensor failures. Developing solutions for such scenarios is essential to ensure the safety, resilience, and reliability of automated driving technologies.
Over two dynamic days, participants will gain insight into cutting-edge approaches pioneered within the CCAM field. They will explore how robust perception and decision-making systems are being developed to manage complex situations and execute intelligent safety maneuvers when needed.
The Summer School offers a unique platform for any interested stakeholder with a strong focus on empowering women’s participation in research and innovation thematic areas, covered by EVENTS.
Register today and join us to help shape the future of safe and inclusive Automated Mobility!
