Managing an Intercultural Classroom: A course by Jönköping University, from 10 September 2025

How does the teacher change to change the student?

This course is offered at Jönköping University by the Educator Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning at Jönköping University (Educate).

The course will lead you to new perspectives on the diversity of experiences and expectations of teaching and learning practices in a multicultural classroom.

We begin the process of building understanding together of concepts such as internationalisation of curricula (IoC), inclusive internationalisation, intercultural competence and transferable skills by sharing our experiences and connecting to research.

The emphasis of the course is on learning from all participants’ experiences of working in a global-local classroom. We work together to find ways to develop students’ and our own skills that strengthen intercultural competence, participation, influence and interaction, in your own subject and in interaction with other participants.
