The Technical University of Vienna (TUW) invites PhD students to participate in a full-day, in-person workshop designed to elevate your communication skills: “The Power of Networking for Scientists and Engineers”.

Course Details:

  • Location: TU Wien, Seminarraum AD 0117, Karlsplatz 13, 1040 Vienna

This workshop is exclusively open to PhD students from all EULiST Partner Institutions, with only 5 spots available.

During this engaging session, participants will:

✔️ IDENTIFY THEIR PERSONAL MOTIVATIONS: To get crystal clear about their very own networking goals.

✔️ LEARN ABOUT THE NEW “PEOPLE-FIRST” WAY OF NETWORKING: So connecting with others is less awkward, never fake, and meant to last.

✔️ BECOME CLEAR ABOUT RELEVANT PLAYERS IN THEIR NETWORK: By analyzing who is vs. who should be in their network, and whom to focus future efforts on.

✔️ PINPOINT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROACTIVE OUTREACH: So they can strategically expand their network and not leave their circle of support up to chance.

✔️ BUILD A PLAN TO DIVERSIFY THEIR CONNECTIONS: To enjoy a differentiated set of backgrounds, opinions, skills, experiences, and reach.

✔️ PLAN FOR THE LONG RUN: By understanding how to build and nurture strong and meaningful relationships that last.

✔️ DEVELOP THEIR OWN PERSONAL NETWORKING STRATEGY: Based on tried and practiced insights and directed by hands-on exercises in their workbook.
