Course on “Communication and Dissemination for European Projects” organised by the URJC – 18, 19, 20 and 21 November, Online format

The Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), as a partner of EULiST invites two members of the EULiST Alliance per university to participate in the four-day (16 hours) online “Communication and Dissemination for European Projects” course.

Why take this course?

Knowing and learning about communication and dissemination in European projects is crucial to maximise the impact and visibility of the results obtained. A well-planned communication strategy not only ensures that project objectives and results reach key audiences, but also that dissemination obligations imposed by the European Commission. In addition, the ability to communicate effectively attracts the interest of potential partners, funders and beneficiaries, extending the benefits of the project beyond its official duration and facilitating the exploitation and sustainability of its results in the long term.

The course program is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part covers the European Commission’s communication obligations, the key concepts of ‘communication, dissemination and exploitation’ and how to create an effective dissemination plan. It will also cover target group analysis, the use of tools such as social media and websites, the design of communication products (newsletters, videos, policy briefs) and the organisation of key events such as kick-off meetings and conferences. The practical part will include a workshop on planning social media posts, managing communities on LinkedIn, developing monitoring tools and organising events.

In this way, the course objectives will be covered:

  • Know the obligations of dissemination and promotion in European projects.
  • Understand the concepts of communication, dissemination and exploitation as defined by the European Commission.
  • Create an effective dissemination plan and adapt it to the target groups.
  • Use communication tools and design dissemination products (social networks, newsletters, videos, etc.).
  • Organise key project events and monitor communication activities.
