Course on ‘ Horizon Europe Programme’ organised by the URJC

The Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), as a partner of EULiST invites two members of the EULiST Alliance per university to participate in the three-day (8 hours) online course “Horizon Europe Programme, Management and Reporting: A Practical Overview”.

It is important to know about the Horizon Europe programme because this initiative aims to strengthen the EU’s scientific and technological base, address key priorities such as the environmental and digital transitions, contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals and boost competitiveness with a budget of €95.5 billion. Horizon Europe is based on three pillars Excellent Science, supporting scientific leadership through high quality projects and researcher mobility; Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness, funding innovation in areas such as health, climate and energy; and Innovative Europe, driving breakthrough innovation and creating new market opportunities through the European Innovation Council.

The objectives of this course are:

  • Familiarize participants with Horizon Europe funding opportunities and how to select the most appropriate sub-programmes for their R&D&I projects.
  • Provide tools to interpret Work Programs and Topics, optimising their funding strategy and approach to ideas according to the type of action of the program.
  • Develop key skills to explore opportunities using the new terms, tools and technical aspects of Horizon Europe.

The course is free of charge and takes place online according to the following schedule (CET Time):

  • Tuesday 5.11: from 15:00h to 17:30h
  • Thursday 7.11: from 15:00h to 17:30h
  • Tuesday 12.11: from 15:00h to 18:00h
