Experience summer in Sweden!

The JU Summer School consists of a 10-credit courses, including visits to Swedish companies, as well as a social and cultural package giving students the chance to see Jönköping and experience the Swedish culture, including the infamous mid-summer.

  • Purchasing Logistics with a Global Perspective (10 ECTS)
  • User-centered Cypersecurity and Privacy (10 ECTS) NEW COURSE SUMMER 2025

Housing:  Accommodation is guaranteed including pick-up service.
The price range is between 3500 – 5000 SEK per month.

  • Purchasing Logistics with a Global Perspective (10 ECTS)
    The course aims to give advanced knowledge of logistics in purchasing and supply chain management with a global perspective. The focus is on the purchasing functions importance for the company result. Elements included in the course: purchasing and strategic sourcing, globalisation and Incoterms, supplier portfolio, legal aspects, sustainability KPIs and more.     60 ECTS credits first cycle/undergraduate/bachelor courses in industrial engineering or business administration or computer information systems or equivalent.

    Fluency in English.All applicants are required to meet the standard English language requirements corresponding to English 6 in the Swedish upper secondary school system. Read more about the language requirements here: language requirements

 

  • User-centered Cypersecurity and Privacy (10 ECTS)

    The course starts with an overview of cybersecurity from a socio-technical perspective and outlines essential concepts, definitions and standards in the area. This is followed by an introduction to models that describe user behaviour in cybersecurity and how we can help people raise their cybersecurity awareness. By doing so, the course also outlines how organizational governance and the user’s social environment contribute to cybersecurity culture and cybersecurity awareness.     General entry requirements and passed courses 60 ECTS credits in first-cycle. Proof of English proficiency is required.Fluency in English. All applicants are required to meet the standard English language requirements corresponding to English 6 in the Swedish upper secondary school system. Tuition fees and costs
In general, individuals who are citizens of countries outside of the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland are required to pay application and tuition fees. There are some exceptions to this general rule.

Tuition fees: 25 000 SEK

Application fee: 900 SEK (Mandatory application fee of 900 SEK (approx. 80 Euro) to citizens outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland to process and review an application).  Read more here about application and tuition fees. 
Social and Cultural package: 2500 SEK (optional but advised)

The package includes the following:  company visits, welcome lunch, farewell dinner, certificate ceremony, and social and cultural activities such as a trip to one of Sweden’s best-preserved castles from the 16th century in Vadstena, a trip to Gränna; a charming city where traditional Swedish peppermint candy canes are handmade, a visit to the ruins of Brahehus Castle, after-school activities, a Swedish Midsummer celebration and much more!
