International Summer School at the Leibniz School of Education, University of Hannover (Germany), 08/19 – 08/23/2024

International Summer School at the Leibniz School of Education, University of Hannover (Germany) 08/19 – 08/23 2024:

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) – Insights into whole school development for a transformative learning culture

Internationality meets Sustainability: The two projects – Transformative Horizons 2.0 and Teaching Change – organize an international summer school at the Leibniz School of Education. The focus of this practice-oriented summer school is the exchange with international student teachers and researchers on the subject of ESD. In addition to critical discussions of our school systems and our role as teachers in regard of eco-social change, we will explore the ESD landscape around the state capital of Hanover: encountering innovative schools, experiencing different learning spaces and formats, meetings with political stakeholders and civil society activists.

Participants can expect a dynamic program encompassing workshops, seminars, site visits, and interactive discussions, offering valuable insights and practical strategies for implementing ESD principles in educational settings.
